Questions Clients Ask Before Starting

12 March 2025 ยท 6 min read

Most practices that come to us for the first time are not asking about a single product. They are trying to work out how the whole ordering relationship will run once the first delivery arrives. That is a fair question, and it usually comes out in the same handful of ways.

Below are the ones we hear most often from practice managers, clinic administrators and frail care coordinators, along with what actually happens in each case.

"Can we send a list instead of picking items one by one?"

Yes, and most clients do. You can email a written list of what your rooms go through in a month, including sizes and any brand preferences, and we come back with a written quote. If something on the list is out of stock or has a better equivalent, we say so before the quote is issued rather than after.

"How do we handle repeat items without re-ordering every month?"

Gloves, syringes, gauze and IV lines are the usual candidates for a standing order. Once the first order is confirmed, we can set the same list to ship on a fixed schedule. You can pause it, change quantities or swap a size at any point before the next dispatch.

"What if we are not sure about sizes or fittings?"

This comes up most with examination couches, reception seating and mobility aids, where a few centimetres matter. Send the room dimensions or a photo of the space and we will confirm what fits before anything is quoted. For gloves and PPE, we can send a mixed-size breakdown so the team can try before committing to a case.

"Where do orders ship from, and how long do they take?"

Dispatch is from Johannesburg or Cape Town, depending on what is on the order and where you are. Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal usually see delivery within the same week. If a line is coming from the other warehouse, we flag it in the quote so there are no surprises on timing.

Notes from the counter

Three pieces we keep coming back to when practice managers ask how to plan an order, pick a supply format, or settle the small questions that come up before a first delivery.
